David Charles Reliford, 69, of Lincoln, CA formerly of Germantown Hillls, passed away on June 13, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on February 7, 1948 in Peoria, a son of Francis and Arlowyne (Kannenburg) Reliford. They preceded him in death.
Dave served six years as a Staff Sergeant in the Army Reserves.
He was united in marriage to Verita (Vicki) Atteberry on July 13, 1968 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Peoria.
Dave worked as a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker Local #1 retiring after 42 years.  After retirement, Dave and his wife moved to Lincoln, CA and have lived there for the past two and a half years to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
He was a Chicago Cubs fan and loved the Denver Broncos and Chicago Bears.  He loved being outside and enjoyed camping throughout their married life but loved being at Spindler’s Campground with all his friends, fishing and boating.
Dave’s greatest love was his wife, Vicki of 49 years and his children (including his son-in-law and daughter-in-law) and five grandchildren which were truly his reason for living.
He is survived by his children Tracy (Eric) Moser of El Dorado Hills, California and Jason (Tracey) Reliford of Roseville, California; five grandchildren, Tyler, Alyssa and Madison Moser and Evan and Addison Reliford;  and siblings, Frank of Morton, Steve (Judy) of Elk Grove, CA, Carolyn (Sanford) Farkash of Peoria, Ron (Corinna) of Arkansas and Roger (Sandy) of Chillicothe. He was also loved by many nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.
A Memorial Service to Celebrate Dave’s Life will be at 3 p.m. on Monday, June 19, 2017 at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in Dave’s memory to the Woman’s Club of Lincoln, 499 E Street, Lincoln, CA 95648.
